Manchu Shih Tzu Society – 11th November 2018

I would like to send my most sincere thanks to the club and its committee for the honour of judging

at this show. My gratitude goes also to the exhibitors who chose to come show under me. I tried to

find dogs who presented the correct body shape, with sufficient lay of shoulder and enough of a

strong neck to carry the head proudly, a length of body coming from good ribbing and with width

throughout, particularly with a good chest. I also looked for that attractive head, where eye shape &

colour, muzzle & nose placement, width of underjaw give that soft, kind and oriental look.

MPD (6, 3): 1. Willet’s Debeaux Having a Ball, a 6m/o black male who had a correct overall shape,

with a level topline, a correct high tailset, the tail being carried correctly, giving that typical balance.

He had a good lay of shoulder, with correct front angulation, good width of chest for age, and well

ribbed up. Typical head with round dark eyes of good size, correct bite and a good chin. BPD.

2. Paczkowski & Cannon’s Corrlough Snow Patrol, another puppy of lovely proportions, who still needs

to develop more substance as compared to the class winner. He had a good front and rear

angulation and correct tailset. Another typical head, although showing a bit of white of eye at the

moment, but the rest is textbook with good open nostrils, nose correctly placed, jet black pigment,

correctly undershot mouth with good full regular dentition and correct chin. In good coat for age. 3.

Skawska’s Mapimakastar Albert

PD (2, 0): 1. Williams-Wegmann’s Essvana Midnight Express, Black male who was a little unsettled on

the day. Correct body proportions with good tailset. Would like stronger front pasterns and more

width of chest. He had a good dark round eye of correct size, good skull, a correct earset and a

correct undershot bite. Moving ok on the side gait. 2. Skawska’s Mapimakastar Albert, another

unsettled dog, this one Black & White parti had quite an attractive eye, with a good skull, although I

would prefer a little squarer muzzle. Good length of body and level topline, although the tail wasn’t

always carried on the day. Correct width & depth of chest.

MD (2, 1): 1. Paczkowski & Cannon’s Corrlough Snow Patrol – see 2nd in PD

ND (2, 0): 1. Prestidges’ Tameron Mr Aramis Classic at Portiakiss, a white & cream dog, with a lovely

round eye, correct nose placement, good open nostrils, correct earset, good skull size, good width of

underjaw. I would like a better coat texture. He has a good ribcage and strong loin and moved Ok

when he held his tail up fully. 2. Gardner’s Lyndatzu Chalone, this dog had a lovely eye, being round,

dark and of correct size and placement, a good nose pad, a correct skull shape& size. A little more

width of underjaw would finish the picture. A little high on legs, I would have liked a straighter

topline. In lovely coat of good human-like quality to the touch.

PGD (2, 1): 1.Yeomans’ Kezang Golden Idol – Gold & white with an attractive white blaze, lovely

head & expression, with a correct square muzzle, good open nostrils, nice dark & round eye, good

earset, correct skull width & shape and a good mouth and width of underjaw. He had a good length

of body in relation to height, but a better lay of shoulder would give him a better neck and a prouder

carriage in front. Tailset was OK, this dog was presented in lovely coat condition with correct texture

and good undercoat.

LD (6, 0): 1.Hey’s Shalehan Yasheron (IMP), what a lovely 2 y/o gold parti with a very attractive head

& expression, the blackest of pigment, correct underjaw and good undershot & regular mouth, a

lovely round dark eye, with good skull and earset. He has a good lay of shoulder and correct

upperarm, the chest is wide between the fore legs, he has a strong neck which supports a dignified

head carriage and flowing onto a level topline ending in a correctly high set tail which was carried

well. He still looks like a young dog and the coat is not yet at its peak, but he was the package I was

looking for today to head a strong class and end up BD & RBIS. 2. Moore’s Ashmakin Bodacious

Smooth for Jaxtzu (IKC) JW ShCM – a lovely shaped gold dog, who has all the right proportions and a

really good front assembly, resulting in a good arched neck, flowing into a level topline. He also has

substance, is well ribbed up and has a strong loin. Tail carriage is typical. I liked his skull shape & size,

the shape of his muzzle, his underjaw is correct. I would like a better eye shape to complete the

picture. Moved well around the ring and in lovely coat condition.

Bred By Exh. D (2,0): 1. Skawska’s Mapimakastar Albert. 2. Stevens’ Peekin Archie-Tu – a good-sized

dog with correct eye shape, although colour could be darker. Correct skull shape, would prefer more

width of muzzle. Correct length of body, but quite narrow in front, which affects the overall

movement. In lovely coat condition.

Not Bred By Exh. D (4,0): 1.Hey’s Shalehan Yasheron (IMP). 2. Moore’s Ashmakin Bodacious Smooth

for Jaxtzu (IKC) JW ShCM.

OD (2,0): 1. Sullivan’s Jacquinta Lets Go Andy JW, an attractive gold parti, with lovely proportions, he

has a good length of body and width throughout. He is well constructed with a good front and

matching rear angulation. The level topline ends with a high set tail, the carriage of which gives him

the typical breed balance. Nice head with a good square muzzle of ample width, a correct mouth.

Mature abundant coat. RBD. 2. Willett’s SWE & CRO CH Debeaux C’est La Vie, quite a handsome

parti dog, lovely eye shape & colour, good muzzle with the darkest pigment, good full dentition and

correctly undershot. Correct angulation and moved well, although I would like more width

throughout. Level topline & correct tail set & carriage.

VD/B (1,0): 1. Brooks’ Superlion Jezabel at Marbrux, a dark gold, almost chestnut parti bitch with a

lovely expression, good round eye, correct muzzle shape with good nose pad and good underjaw. In

good coat with a level topline, she has good rear angulation and went around with great attitude.

BVIS.

MPB (9,3): 1. Paczkowski & Cannon’s Corrlough Ice Maiden, a small and so feminine, extremely

pretty chestnut gold & white, with the darkest eye colour, lovely pigmentation on nose, correct

mouth, good skull shape and a correct ear set. She has a lovely front with good shoulder placement,

a good neck, flowing into a level topline and good high tailset with a typical carriage. Still needs to fill

in, but she is very young and she has all the building blocks. 2. Willetts’ Debeaux Euphoria, a more

mature solid gold, she has a lovely shape, with a level topline, good width throughout and in good

coat of correct texture. Nice expression with a good mouth and a correct round eye.

PB (6,3): 1. Hey’s Lyndatzu Que Sah Rah- a pale gold & white with a lovely attractive head, lovely

shaped dark eyes, the darkest of pigment, good open nostrils, correct slightly undershot mouth, a

good skull shape & size. She has typical body proportions and is well ribbed up, a level topline, good

tailset & carriage. Her front & rear angles are balanced and she went around the ring with that air of

quiet superiority. BPB, RBB & BPIS. 2. Williams-Wegmann’s Essvana Matilda – Black & white parti,

with a good round dark eye, a correct muzzle shape and good pigment, correct bite. She presents a

lovely overall shape and moves well from the side, although I would prefer more width throughout.

JB (3,1): 1. Stevens’ Peekin Miss Jive-Bunny-Tu – a pretty-headed gold & white, this girl had dark

round eyes, a good nose pad, a good undershot mouth with full dentition. She is well balanced with

good substance for her age, has a level topline and a good tailset. She moved well around the ring

making the most of her angles. 2. Gilkes’ Zeeva Reflections, another pretty-headed, slightly bigger all

over bitch. She is in lovely condition with her coat gleaming. I would like a better lay of shoulder and

rear angulation for better drive on the move. Lovely tailset with the all-important carriage.

MB (4,2): 1. Paczkowski & Cannon’s Corrlough Ice Maiden. 2. Noblett’s Senoble’s Midnight in

Moscow – this gold & white was 3rd in puppy, she has a lovely expression with attractive round dark

eyes, perfect pigment, good mouth. Her front could be a little straighter for a cleaner front

movement. Lovely straight topline and correct tailset.

NB (4,1): 1. Alexander Cunniffe’s Tejayse Beautiful Trauma, a well-proportioned Gold & white puppy

with a lovely shaped eye, although it could be a shade darker, a good nose and muzzle shape, a

correct undershot mouth. Level topline with a small rise over the loin not distracting from the overall

shape and a good tailset & carriage. 2. Stevens’ Peekin Miss Jazz Ming-Tu, gold & white sable with a

good level topline. Good nose pad, good earset, correct skull size & shape, dark round eye, although

shows some white. She has good rear angulation, but the shoulder placement lets her down,

shortening her neck and making her look a little boxy.

PGB (2, 0): 1. Prestidge’s Tameron Miss Be Delicious At Portiakiss, a gold & white with an attractive

head, her pigment could be stronger, but possesses a good round eye, a correctly shaped skull, a

good muzzle shape, a correct mouth with typical chin. Good lay of shoulders, but fron legs could be

straighter, topline needs to settle a bit, correct tail carriage. 2. Beer & Tilley’s Miracey Sea of Love

for Tilbe ShCM – a solid black, she has good eye shape, correct muzzle, a good bite with good chin.

She’s quite up to size and needs more lay of shoulder and she has a limited return of upper-arm.

Good tailset, reasonable rear angulation, in very nice coat condition.

LB (3,1): 1. Prestidge’s Tameron Miss Daisy Blush at Portiakiss, a light almost platinum blonde, with

round eye, good skull shape & size, correct earset, good mouth. She is well constructed and

balanced, with correct lay of shoulders, good length & return of upper-arm, correct body length,

with good ribcage which extends well back, her topline rises a little over the loin. She moved well

with her tail well-carried and was in glorious coat. 2. Brooks’ Lyndatzu Coco Chanel at Marbrux, a

smaller red & white with a good muzzle and nose pad, her eyes are of good shape and colour

although has a tendency to show some white. Great temperament but I would like a better lay of

shoulder and more width throughout.

Bred By Exh. B (4,1): 1. Hey’s Lyndatzu Que Sah Rah 2. Stevens’ Peekin Miss Jive-Bunny-Tu

Not Bred By Exh. B (4,0): 1.Prestidge’s Tameron Miss Daisy Blush at Portiakiss 2. Skawska’s Amore

Mio Satinel Reheto (FCI) (IMP PL) – 6 month old, chestnut gold & white with a good muzzle shape, a

correct mouth, the eye shape is OK but the colour is good. She is quite up to size already but has a

good front, good lay of shoulders, a level topline and correct tail carriage.

OB (2,0): 1. Willetts’ Qanukakira Oopzadayzy, what a piece of dynamite this solid gold bitch is!

Attractive expression with round eyes, good open nostrils, correct mouth with good width of

underjaw, good skull shape & size, correct earset. She excels in construction, with a good lay of

shoulder, correct return of upper-arm and balanced rear angulation which allows her to drive with

full pads showing. She has that lovely tailset and carriage so characteristic of the breed and her

enthusiasm is contagious. In lovely coat and muscle condition. In the challenge for BIS, she moved

like a bomb and could not be denied victory. BB & BIS.
